Mundial S.A. emerged from the unification of two large groups – Eberle, founded in Caxias do Sul, in Serra Gaúcha, in 1896, and Zivi-Hercules that started its activities in Porto Alegre, in 1931. Since the end of 2003, the name of the group has become Mundial SA Produtos de Consumo.

Mundial SA is a publicly traded company that has its shares traded on B3 S.A. – Brasil, Bolsa e Balcão, São Paulo Stock Exchange, under the ticker MNDL3 (Mundial ON). The Capital is R$43,794,105.18 (forty-three million, seven hundred and ninety-four thousand, one hundred and five reais and eighteen cents), fully subscribed and paid-in, divided into 2,480,260 (two million, four hundred and eighty thousand, two hundred and sixty) common shares, all registered, book-entry and with no par value.
